An Open Letter To President Obama - It's Time to Stand Up!

Dear President Obama,

I have watched, with great interest, the events in Washington, D.C. since January 20, 2009. You might have had three days of good will, then the tension started. You may have had good intentions, coming to the nation's capital to roll up your sleeves and start working on the many problems that faced America. There was a not so secret society awaiting to undermine you at every turn.

We know this society as the Republican Party. One of the first things you were accusing of doing to "damage" America were the bank bailouts. Oh wait, that was started by the previous administration, and it seemed like a good idea at the time. You were demonized for it. You should have known then that you were facing a tough road. You turned the other cheek.

Then there is this misguided group of people who call themselves the Tea Party. One of the things they staunchly "defended" were their Second Amendment rights, even daring to show up near a route you were to travel during an appearance. Would President Cheney, oops, I mean Bush, have accepted that? Again, you turned the other cheek.

There were rallies held in Washington to "take back our country". Take it back? From who or what? You know what the tea sippers meant, Mr. President. They meant you, a man of color. There's no way that they would allow an "un-American terrorist sympathizer, who was born in Kenya and a Muslim", to take their country from them. Once again, you stood down.

John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Jon Kyl, Mitch McConnell, and a host of others, continue to fight you on everything that you do in Washington. Their only objective is to bring you down. You respond with golf outings and bi-partisan jibber jabber. You seem to be worried about what the Republicans think of you. I can assure you, they do not want to be your friend.

Here is something you should worry about. The Republican controlled legislatures of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Wisconsin and South Carolina, to name a few states, are implementing a new law. Voter picture ID cards will become mandatory in these states, just in time for the 2012 elections. The Republican Party is willing to disenfranchise voters in an attempt to get you and every other Democrat out of office. Ask yourself, Mr. President, who will these new laws truly hurt? Yes, the poor and elderly, to name a few. I smell a reconstituted poll tax at work.

Enough already. President Obama, it is time for you to stand up and be counted. You have met resistance at every turn and been disrespected during a State of the Union address. When are you going to tire of this crap? By the way, you are the President, please act like it! To hell with the bi-partisan kumbaya! The Republicans don't care! When will you let the GOP know that this is not about them, or even you? If you have the best interests of the American people at heart, it is time to show us.

Most Americans are trying to eke out a living. This is a day to day process. When there are American corporations not paying ANY taxes, and their CEO's are taking millions of dollars in salary home, there is something wrong. Fix this mess, Mr. President. If you are going to go down politically, go down swinging. Just stand up and do the job you were elected to do.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

Sincerely,

Judge Dred

This and other countries are ruled by the globalist, Federal Reserve, and bankers, and not by President Obama. He is just, like Bush, Clinton, and others, a puppet of the elite. If he suddenly grew a conscience for the common people and tried to go outside the rules of the globalist, he would surely be assassinated. He is their friend and ally, and takes their orders with pride. When's the last time any of us have seen a ballot where we vote for members of the Federal Reserve and/or the bankers? They are above the law and laugh in the face of the constitution! The globalist power and greed are what rule us and not the President. Presidents are bought by the rich and work for them. It would not have mattered if McCain had won. He too would have been in the same predicament and position as O'bama is now. American Presidents and political parties today are an illusion via the magic of the globalist. We foolishly still think our votes count.

I'm not sure if Obama has been bought by the rich. It seems that the current Republican leadership are the ones that are the puppets of the rich. The healthcare and big business lobbyists seem to have Bohner, Cantor and company in their hip pockets. Since they are Obama's political pain in the butt, I don't think the boys in the backroom control everything, or else these guys would not be so blatantly defiant. Obama might be backed by people such as Warren Buffett, therefore there is more going on behind the scene than anyone thinks. Whether it be backroom control or not, all I'm saying is Obama needs to stop the public disrespect of him and his administration by the GOP. Kenny, thanks for reading and commenting.

What? There was no society waiting after the 2000 election. "Look in the mirror, boy."

Hi Jack,

Thanks for bringing up the election of 2000. Ah, but for the good old days.....Florida, hanging chads, Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris, disenfranchised voters not allowed to cast ballots, Supreme Court rulings.... Yes Jack, there was a society before and after the 2000 election - they were at work ensuring a Bush victory. Let's not leave Jeb out, either. G.W. Bush had a hitman who took care of anyone who dared to snicker at GWB - Darth Cheney. Obama wants to hold everyone's hand, just to have it slapped away. I guess he enjoys it. Hi OGM,

Good to hear from you, hope all is going well and everything returns to normal soon. I thought it best to put my feelings about Obama in the form of a letter. It was just easier to write. After what he has endured as President, I think he should start acting like the "leader of the free world". It's fine to spar politically, but not with so much at stake, nor with people that simply want to hinder the governing of America for their selfish purposes. It's time to put people in their place and move on. Thank you for reading and commenting.

I've been looking for a way to describe Obama when I hear nay-sayers in everyday conversation. You've articulated it here nicely. He's not stepping up. He's letting everyone talk their crap, and then, he goes about his business. There's no defense, in the face of GOP. He keeps extending that olive branch only to have it snapped in two. Three days... It didn't even take 6 months before people were complaining about how he was handling things. More time was spent looking at birth certificates. Well done, and I second The Old Gray Mare: send it.

Hi Melissa,

Turning the other cheek should only go so far. It seems that during his speech pertaining to jobs before Congress, it looked like he displayed a little backbone. That's good, but he should now follow through on his tough talk with some action. Stop pandering to the GOP and start working for the American people. It's clear that the Republicans only have their special interests and lobbyist money in mind. I think I will send the letter. Thanks for reading and commenting, also thank you for joining my fan club. I have joined yours as well. Until next time!

I think right now almost all the politicians have a lot to answer for....on both sides of the aisle.

Hi Marijo,

Yes, I agree, all politicans have to answer for the mess that we are in. It's jus that there are those that have stepped up the rhetoric at our expense. No one is blameless here, but you can assign more blame to the gang of idiots in the GOP for being the party of no. Let's hope it all turns around. Thanks for reading and commenting.
