Transparency.

Sarah Palin believes in transparency. I fully ag
ree with her.

Governor Palin is so transparent that it is enough to make me sick. Looks to me like she is nothing more than a typical politician who abused her power, and everything was fine until she got caught. A reformer? A maverick? Is bringing in a former terrorism prosecutor to help stall the Troopergate investigation the action of a maverick? Seems like she definitely does not want curtain #1 or 2 to reveal the truth. She and the First Dude, Todd Palin, have something to hide. Good 'ol boy politics at the highest level.

Imagine if Obama or Biden were the subject of an ethics inquiry, and attempted to stall or hinder the investigation. Better yet, subjects and witnesses in the investigation ignored subpoenas or refused to cooperate. John McCain would do a fan dance with a pine needle on the top of the Washington Monument to garner attention. He would not stop until he were declared King McCain, ruler of all of America. I don't think I'm the only person that sees what's going on. McCain - Palin will say and do anything to get themselves elected.

There once was a man named Richard Nixon. He would do anything to be re-elected to a second term as president. He sent a couple of people to the Watergate (apparently, Republicans love gates) Hotel, to break into Democratic Headquarters. These idiots were busted by the night watchman, and threw Nixon under the bus. Nixon even turned over, after much wrangling, taped conversations having to do with the Watergate incident. He forgot to tell investigators that 18 and one-half minutes of the conversations were "accidentally" erased. How did that turn out for 'ol Tricky Dick?

Slick Sarah,Todd the Terrible and the McCain campaign obviously have taken a page from the Nixon playbook. Look out America, a vote for McCain - Palin is a vote for more politics as usual.
It could also be a vote for a nostalgic trip back to the days of bell bottoms, long sideburns and resignations in the highest levels of American government. Slick Sarah and Tricky Dick - possibly side by side in American political infamy - for the sake of getting elected. Two transparent people.  McCain plays the fiddle while his campaign burns. Go figure. Until next time.

Judge,

What if Obama dissed Spain by forgetting where it is located and being oppositional about their democratic government? Please...he'd have Hell to pay! The troopergate coverup is so stupid. Obviously, she has something to hide, otherwise she wouldn't have wasted her time going through all of this trouble. This obstruction of justice will backfire. Thanks alot.

Hi James,

Palin, Palin and McCain, want to stall until the elections are over. I wonder if the people are looking past the glitz, and seeing just how a McCain - Palin Administration would react to issues. Four more years of what we have now.       The "I am above the law, and make up the rules as we go" administration.

Thanks,

Oh, come on, JD... Palin would "Never" do anything like that. Besides, Alaska has some stupid law that says you cannot subpena a political candidate on an ethics issue during a campaign. Oops, I almost forgot, Todd isn't the VP. Shucks. Sometimes I think Americans can't see the forrest for the trees! Good article.

Judge Dred, It certainly is disturbing, to say the least, how one can just ignore a subpoena and encourage a group of others to do the same, with no apparent consequences...Regards, Barbara

Hi Barbara,

Thanks for reading and commenting. This is Bush Politics 101 at its finest. Get elected at any cost, and treat the American people as if they are gullible. They figure that we will just forgive and forget. Not me. Everyone running for the two highest offices in the land should be held to a higher standard, not stonewalling an investigation. Time will tell. Thanks.

Hi JD!

Maybe I should join the Sarah Palin "troopergate" - NOT! It is a sad reality that the party is abusing their power to cover up what they don't want people to know. Then again, it figures. Great article.

God bless

Hi Michelle,

I believe that McCain - Palin will say or do anything and everything to be elected. Lie, cheat, slander, omit information - or blatantly tell officials they will stonewall investigations. Does this sound like a pairing that America needs in the White House? NO! We already have that with President Chaney and Vice President Bush.....or is that the other way around? Thanks.
