McCain, Talk About Something That Matters To Us!

November 2008 is fast approaching.... what are we going to do?

Is the world going to end if Obama is elected?

Is McCain going to forget where the White House is located?

My fellow Americans, the time is almost here, we must choose our new"Decider". Forget all the rhetoric, just ask one question - who is best qualified to lead us out of this mess? Politics have been too partisan lately. Let's try to keep America's best interests at heart, not what party can control both houses.

Obama. He has no military experience. This makes McCain the right choice? I respect what he went through in the Vietnam War, but that makes him no more qualified to be Commander in Chief than it does a rookie police officer to run a large police department.

Legislating defeat in order to win the election? I don't think McCain believes those words when they come out of his mouth.

Comparing Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton? Uh, well, there's the way to get a point across to the American people.

McCain forgets the number of homes he and his wife own...... who's elite and out of touch?

Please, let's talk about real issues. Let's hear what they both have to say in the upcoming debates. Who cares what the evangelists have to say. Try to keep church and state separate, does anyone remember why this country was founded?

In the interim, someone tell me what makes McCain such a riveting choice.

Lastly, why do so many people dislike Obama?(Please, don't tell me about a race card!)

Well written Judge Dred! I am with you. I don't want to hear anymore rhetoric and I know that is pure fantasy. Oud country was founded on God and not religion. Why can't we put our predjudice and opinions aside and look at reality? I personally can hardly wait to see them debating as I believe it will tell us much more then what the media has to offer at this point. I love our country and now it is time to do our part and act like we are civilized so that our country can return to being a great nation instead of one that is in a sad state. And yes, let's get rid of the race card. The audacity of people thinking skin color makes a difference amazes me and is so wrong in my humble opinion.

Thanks, Michelle. I think it's time to get to the real issues, and stop with this bash and counter bash thing. Forget Democrat or Republican, get us a real leader today. If I hear one more thing about someone" not ready to lead the country", my head will explode! Last, will skin color make a difference in this election? Idealistically, I would hope not. Realistically, I think there is a segment of the population that won't be able to get past it.

Judge, I can empathize with you totally especially since I have been writing to these issues for years. The vary sad fact is when you really look at "what they do and fail to do" it tells you exactly where they are going to go and do. There is no difference, no choice same agenda. It is that simple and people are becoming frustrated because of that. Republican or Democrat more of the same.- options independent or other parties, period.

Hi Robert, and thank you. I'm starting to believe the old saying "A politician is a politician is a politician". Does it really matter who we vote for? Will change really be instituted in Washington D.C.? Whatever happens, I'm tired of mudslinging, and candidates degrading one another. Thanks again, until next time -

Hi Great job at laying out your points.

With Mccain, at least you know where he stands. He's not trying to sound good to everone, he speaks his mind. And then you have his flaws. Is the right one? Only God knows. We need to pray.

With Obama, I might be concerned that too many issues might be above his pay grade...who then will make the decision if not our president? He is a smooth talker invokes change, but can't make a stand for anything. And then you have his flaws. Is he the right one? Only God knows, we need to pray.

The fact is there is no man who will be able to run our country perfectly. So we have to find the one who's walk matches his talk the most. However it is, if they do not rely on the Lord, if he does not have his fellow country men storming the throne of grace on their behalf, they will be fitting a losing battle.

Just one nobody's opinion. God Bless!

Hi Teresa, and thanks for your comments.

I agree that there is no one person that will run this country perfectly.Men (and women) do make mistakes. I would like to see both of them lay out their platforms, without mudslinging or rhetoric, and allow the people to make the decision. Whomever ends up in the White House should realize that they are not the ultimate power. There's only one "Ultimate Decider", and He doesn't reside only in Washington, D.C. Let's have everyone stick to the basics.

Thanks,
